🌱 At RiSEUP Community Advisory Foundation, we believe that when women come together with intention, something powerful happens.

That’s exactly what Women Building Connection is all about.

This upcoming event is more than just a gathering, it’s a space designed for real connection, honest conversation, and meaningful growth. In rural communities especially, women often carry a lot -- responsibilities, transitions, leadership roles, and sometimes quiet struggles that aren’t always visible on the surface.

This event creates space to set that down for a moment. To be seen. To be heard. To remember that you're not alone.

🌿 A Space to Feel Safe, Seen, and Supported

We know that many women are navigating complex seasons, personally and professionally. Whether it’s loss, change, burnout, growth, or simply the weight of doing it all, there is value in coming together in a space where authenticity is welcomed.

Kelmeny Baerg, who is helping shape this experience, brings both professional insight as a life coach and lived experience through significant life transitions. Her vision aligns deeply with the RiSEUP mission:

To create shared experiences that help people feel like they belong.

Together, we are building something intentional that is grounded in empathy, connection, and possibility.

🌳 From Seed to Transformation

At the heart of the event is a hands-on experience: The Seed Planting & Tree of Transformation Activity. This activity is designed to help participants reflect on where they are, what they’ve been carrying, and what they want to grow moving forward.

It’s not just symbolic -- it’s actionable.

Women will be guided to:

• Reflect on personal challenges or transitions

• Identify areas of growth and possibility

• Take intentional steps toward change

• Connect their journey to a broader sense of community

It’s about recognizing that growth doesn’t happen overnight, but it does happen when we nurture it together.

A Community That Continues

Women Building Connection is just the beginning. Launching this fall, our RiSEUP  Book Club will offer a space for continued growth and connection. Meeting bi-weekly, this initiative will give women practical tools, shared learning experiences, and a consistent community to lean into.

It’s a natural extension of what this event starts:

• Deeper conversations

• Shared experiences

• Ongoing support

• Real, sustainable growth

Because connection shouldn’t be a one-time experience, it should be something women can return to again and again.
